What's being discussed in this article? The one-child policy that is implemented in China at this time. This policy allows each family to have only one child. If the family has more than one child they may endure large fines and possible loss of property. In addition, throughout the pregnancy they will be encouraged to have an abortion. The act has been in place for 30 years and was said to becoming to an end by 2015, however, many believe that this policy may continue throughout the years.
When did the event happen? (Is this breaking news or something that's been analyzed and discussed for a while?)This is an event that has been discussed for a long time. However, the news of this family struggles is new to this topic, thus making it a breaking news story. In addition, this topic is a currant debate topic.
- What questions do you have that would help make this article make more sense to you? What more do you need to learn about to be able to report on this event?
There are no questions that I have about this article. And in order to know more about this topic I would need to know if there were any other reasons that this law was implemented other than to decrease the population.
